Happy Barbies 🙂
Why have a head, when you can have an afro! ❤
Talk about flashbacks! A F R I C A N N I was one of the most memorable editorials that I ever did, shortly before I was signed to Oxygen – which was pretty exciting because I had not had much experience in front of the camera ( not that I have had an extreme amount since then ). The day was filled with fun and laughter and we were published in the Atlas Magazine, as a webtorial.
They are an African-Inspired ( hence the name ) womenswear brand which not only show class and explore femininity, but promote the constant appearance of African prints within modern clothing whilst keeping a fresh and chic element to it.
Anyways, as for the team, consisting of the founder herself – Glenbora – who was extremely polite and lovely and kept everyone unusually well fed! Models – Tola, Irini, Donja ( who I had also previously worked with already for Rekko Jewellery ) and Jessica the photographer, along with our talented MUA Lily. The shoot also preceded their fashion show which displayed their collection ( during Tola’s birthday celebration ) with lovely additions to the team, including Natasha Frater ❤

If only it was as easy to maintain….
And since i’m all in the African mood I’ll put in a few more ‘fros and African inspired shoots, that sadly didn’t make it to publication but are still worth the glimpse!
