” The Bathroom Though “
This is an addition to my Festive Food Series where for some reason I crave everything during the winter period.
D R A K E A N D M O R G A N is a genuinely unique restaurant in which its space looks like an interior designer’s, engineer’s and architect’s dream combined in one. They were founded in South London in 2008 and wanted to create a space where locals and visitors alike could enjoy thoughtful, inspired menus and innovative, crafted cocktails in the most welcoming environment. An escape from the everyday. And in my mind it is definitely an escape. There is a very strong contrast from the busy modern streets around Kings Cross St. Pancras, into the industrial-looking yet soft and romantic scenery of the interior of the restaurant.
I went with my baby Leni, and as soon as we approached the entrance there were already subtle hints of its unique design language around its exterior, such a its beautiful exterior cladding glazed over with glass – giving a rustic-modern contrast.
But enough design talk – the FOOD.
Leni had the lovely bass and I had the amazing Lobster!
I would definitely give it a 4 out of 5 stars! Amazing service, atmosphere and in a perfect location ( find more locations ) – however the portion sizes were quite stingy, but thankfully I wasn’t particularly hungry at that moment in time ( so, yes they got away with it ) but if you are a big portion eater then you might have a problem here.
Oh, how I love to eat. And then burn it all off. Then eat…again.
