I am a feminist, I support feminism, but I am not really feminist.

I am all for equality, and completely disagree with the fact that women are getting paid 24.6% less (in a trading work force) than men – we should all get the same opportunities, whether or not we take advantage of those opportunities.

But at the end of the day, I believe that men and women were made DIFFERENT but for different reasons, and that is why my views on this topic have stayed pretty traditional.

Dinner?
Dinner?

And I know this may sound blunt, but for me – the reason why there has been a sudden increase in the “need for women to work so hard and start competing with men in the workforce” is because men are FAILING in their natural duties. Some men have become more complacent and laid back, so women are then having to step up to take care of themselves.
Whether or not you are a believer in the Bible’s creation story ( Genesis 2:21women were created from the rib of a man” ) biologically, most men are made physically stronger and more agile than women. The reason being was that they were the driving forces when it came to the workforce – they would have the endurance to work long hours ( or if we are really “throwing it back” – hunt for food and supplies ) whereas women were made more supple and given child-bearing responsibilities to take care of children and to focus more of their energy on the safe upbringing of the children.
This is not a class in biology or prehistoric history. This is NOW. We are the same when it comes to physical and mental attributes ( the only thing that has changed is the quality of our senses and the mindset of civilisation ) and I feel that the roles in men and women should stay the same.

I am very happy making a career for myself and studying, but just because some women decide not to doesn’t make them lazy. It makes them who we were. It had been working just fine for hundreds of years, and it was only until recently that women actually started working.

And to be honest, with all of the sexism and sexual assault charges going around I feel like we are still a long way away from equality. Is it really meant to be? There is great, the rise of female entrepreneurs and figures in society – and the increase of an overall strength as a female empire. But to be completely honest, If I had the choice. I would be in my tidy home, cooking and taking care of that future child of mine.

I do not think men and women shouldn’t be competing with each other.

We are different and we should embrace that and compliment each other instead.
