I am proud to say that I have officially joined ELLE’s #MoreWomen Feminism Campaign that started running a few days back!
Although I am feminist, I do believe there are certain things that should be separated between men and women. Because altough we should have the right to equal opportunities, we are still DIFFERENT – for a reason. So that we can come together and help each other, as where one lacks, the other makes up for. And women are supposed to be taken care of – and I feel that the whole feminism idea is being pushed more because men are failing in their roles so women have had to (over the years) gain their own rights so that they can leave matters to their own hands.
And why not?
We are all powerful barbies secretly.
The main direction of the campaign is their new initiative #MoreWomen, which will celebrate the global power of women’s collectives in a playful, engaging way. Smart, successful women are too often portrayed as one-offs: fierce individualists concerned with their own success.
The story of how women in positions of strength continually support and empower each other is consistently ignored while the myth that we pit ourselves against each other perpetuates.
So, yeah! Join them! Post a photo of yourself with your powerful group of women (squad) on Instagram/Twitter/FB, along with this pledge: ‘One woman’s success makes EVERY WOMAN STRONGER. More women for #morewomen #ELLEFeminism’ and help spread a good cause.
Just one of those things that you do to make people smile, you know?

To all my “SupportSystems” who have been there for me through ups and down, you’re my rock. I don’t even have to say, you know who you are.
